Beauty and the Beast
Ever since the trailer first dropped, the live adaptation of a beloved Disney classic has been heavily marketed with tons of behind the scenes, features, and song numbers to boot. The heavy marketing deemed this adaptation to high expectations. Reigning in names like Emma Watson, Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen certainly makes the pull of the movie stronger. However, did it meet expectations?

Thursday Movie Picks: Ancient World
Thursday Movie Picks is hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves. This week has us looking into movies set in the ancient world, particularly between 3600 BC – 500 AD. My picks are movies that were either disappointing or terrible. Here are my picks this week.
The Maltese Falcon
Thursday Movie Picks: Remakes/Sequels/Reboots I Want to See
Thursday
Movie Picks is hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves. This week’s theme is
about remakes/reboots/sequels. Hollywood hasn’t shied away from rebooting,
remaking, or adding sequels to popular movies so it’s no longer a surprise when
an existing property is getting a glitzy upgrade. I went with one pick for each
(remake, sequel, reboot) and listed accordingly.
I Killed My Mother
The Mt. Rushmore of Movies Blogathon
This blogathon is hosted by m.brown of Two Dollar Cinema. I haven’t joined a blogathon for a while and this sounds fun. In his words: “To participate, simply choose the top four of anything cinematic and explain why they should be carved into a side of a mountain forever. Remember, these are real people carved into imaginary rock – so choose wisely!”
Inspired by Katy Rochelle of OhSoGeeky’s post ‘Where Did All the Rom-Coms Go?’ I’m going with my favorite Romantic Comedy Leads of the 21st Century. I narrowed down my choices in such a way that no two same personalities appear on the list. I’m excluding Bridget Jones on this because she is my all time favorite romantic comedy lead for this century and I feel like I’ve raved about the movie a lot in this site. Here are my choices.
Thursday Movie Picks: On The Run
Thursday Movie Picks is hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves. This week’s theme involves movies where the characters are running away from something. Here are my picks this week.
